Yes I know, I neglected my reading corner very much. And I confess, mea culpa. I will try to catch up now. Today I would like to recommend a classic book that my Godfather urged me to read, which I refused to read for many years until I finally looked at it. Speaking here, as you can already guess the title of the book "Godfather". This book has become one of my favourites.
Puzo describes the fate of a mafia family led by Vito Corleone - a man of honour who is ready to help anyone in exchange for absolute loyalty. The book is set in New York. Don Corleone does not agree to the lucrative drug deal, at the same time gaining enemy - Cosa Nostra. Further family fate depends on Vit's youngest son Michael, a war veteran who did not want to have anything to do with the dark secrets of the family. How will the fate of the Corleone family unfold, will Michael nevertheless become a worthy successor to the Godfather? If you haven't read it yet, I encourage you to reach for one of the greatest novels of the 20th century. And after reading, it is worth returning to the film with the wonderful creations of the legendary Marlon Brando and Al Pacino. Personally, I returned to this book several times, each time I read with bated breath, wondering that I had delayed reaching for this reading for so long. This book has its continuation, written partly by Puzo and continued by Falco. Still, I will write about it at another time.
